Another quarter and another record numbers for the Apple and its flagship device, iPhones. Last quarter was no exception and probably got a little extra lift with the holiday shopping.
16.2M phones in 1 quarter is a mind boggling number. Other manufacturers used to consider any phones that sell 10M in lifetime a huge success. Samsung Galaxy S did sell 10M but it took full 2010 to do it while Apple was able to sell 16.2M in 3 months.
With launch of Verizon iPhone 4 coming out next month, we wouldn’t be surprised to see another new record number for Q1 2011.
