wat a croc. your total price comparison is only for the unlimited plan.
if i choose the lowest cost plan, i only save 70$, assuming i send the rebate in, and actually get acknowledged by samsung, and they give me my money back (i’ve had many problems with rebates, and now get every one notarized). if not, i actually lose money.
granted, the iphone plan is not the cheapest, and the 30$ price for unlimited data sucks, but so does sprint’s coverage in my area.
get a better comparison. and amp up the storage space on the instinct.
I don’t know about Sprint but pretty much all the new Verizon phones come with some type of mail in rebate and I’ve not had any problem getting the checks in the mail.
If you are going to spend the money to get high end phones like iPhone or Instinct, you might as well go for the unlimited plan to use it as much as you want without having to worry about minutes.
But does the Samsung provide turn-by-turn without an app subscription? My Verizon phone can use VZ Navigator right now, but at a mostly subscription cost.
Sprint’s unlimited plan actually includes the GPS navigation and turn by turn directions.
Just purchased the Instinct. Sprint has the fastest connection time around my area. Yes GPS is included in plan. I had to change my service plan to purchase the phone. The plan i got was $169.00 plus taxes a month which includes 2 phones and 3000 shared minutes. I have not had any problems with getting my rebated back from Sprint or Samsung. This is my 5th Samsung phone. The only problem and not that big of a deal is viewing a website that is not setup for mobile viewing is wider than the screen so you have to scroll sideways. And best of all you do not have the signup problems that iphone and AT&T have had with both versions of the phone.
Sprint has been the sole provider of wireless phone service in my family for over 10 years, and we still have not had a problem with service. For example, while I was out-of-town visiting a relative in a hospital, I was able to maintain a phone conversation in the elevator — while it was climbing several floors. Even more, the call was perfectly crystal clear the entire time. i didn’t suffer a single bump in the road. Plus, the plans with Sprint, when it comes down to comparisons with every other popular service providers’ plans, are a better value. My entire household (four phones) with 1700 shared minutes for calling and unlimited texting for all never costs over $200.
So, I for all of these reasons and more, I cannot wait to purchase the Instinct with the help of my annual upgrade funds (thanks, Sprint!) and add PCS Vision services (TV, internet, email, picture mail, and all that good stuff) for an additional cost of just $15 to my line.
ok, as far as the sprint’s plan requirements go for the instinct, you must sign up with a simply everything plan, 69(450 min) 89(1000 min) 99(unlimited), sprint does not charge extra for nav, text, or data. By simply everything, they do actually mean simply everything, oh and it does include tv and radio also. only thing your gonna have to pay for extra is ringtone and music and stuff like that, you can buy an 8gb microsd for about 50 bucks, that’s what I did, ebay you might get it for a bit cheaper but I don’t have the time to sit there and wait for those last minute bidders. Instinct is so much easier to put mp3s on and videos. you will save 1000 to 2000 dollars over the duration of the 2yr contract, and that’s not including possible theft or damage of the phone, sprint offers service and replacement plan for 7 dollars, iphone has no such thing, if you lose or damage your iphone you going up the poop creek without a paddle. there are some downsides to the instinct which to me are the no wifi, pinch zoom would be nice, and glass screen. For the instinct there is the optical scroll, hand writing recognition, no training voice recognition with live search and contacts, and a plethora of navigation options that is fully satellite fed. I hope I don’t sound too biased but I bought the instinct and am VERY happy with it, I spent about $190 with tax and my 8 gig microsd card. And the 16 gig microsd does exist, it’s just not cheap and is hard to find. I played with my friend’s iphone 3g and I was not impressed with what the capabilities were. My friend who bought the iphone told me that if he wasn’t already locked up with at&t he would get the instinct instead, I told him he’d be saving money by paying the 200 dollar cancellation fee and going to sprint, which is totally true!
Beautiful work. Tnks, owner!
