It looks like the first iPhone Killer from Sony Ericsson isn’t going to be availble this year as previously announced. The rumor is that the Windows Mobile 6.1 is the cause of the delay but who know?

Let’s hope they are not too late as many other iPhone Killers have surpassed the iPhone with innovative features and I don’t quite remember Xperia X1 having really killer feature that everyone is waiting for.

Apple isn’t the only one with third party application store. It has been revealed the market place and free applications that are available for the Android based handsets. All the applications are free at the moment while still in the beta stage but expect them to offer both free and paid contents when they go live.

Guard your private data on iPhone

Apparently, there is a security flaw in iPhone which allows unauthorized users to gain easy access to private contacts and e-mails even when the device is locked. Apple has acknolwedged this flaw and said to be working on a fix.

In the mean time, guard your private data. Since the iPhone is a “connected” device, the only way to be absolutely sure is to keep your phone off.

24K Gold Plated iPhone 3G

If you are fortunately rich to have money left after paying for the iPhone and its monthly service fee, here is another option to have your iPhone stand out against all other iPhones and iPhone Killers.

Folks at Computer Choppers will have 24K Gold Plate available for your plain iPhone 3G. No price has been announced but I’m guessing it won’t be cheap.

US version of Nokia N96 Announced

The US version of the popular Nokia N96 has been revealed today. How is this one different from the European version? Well, some good and some bad. The internal difference is the frequency supported to meet AT&T carrier. The feature differences are, no mobile TV (European version supports DVB-H, while AT&T supports Qualcomm’s MediaFlo), and no FM transmitter. However, the added features are bigger display (2.8 vs. 2.6) and bigger memory at 16GB. The price is expected to be in $895 range and will probably be available sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
