The latest rumor is that RIM will be releasing the firmware update to the much hyped Blackberry Storm, which came under criticism for having “delayed” touchscreen response and slow web browsing. There has been “leaked” firmware update where some users have reported noticing improvements over the initial factory firmware. The official version may be available over the air to all users by sometime this week, as early as Tuesday.

bro, how could they blow the launch of this product like that? all the hype on this iphone killer and they can’t launch with tested firmware?
This is nothing new in the industry. They had to be ready for the Christmas season but as always, the software isn’t always quite finished. They launch the product, as announced, while working on the fix. I’ll bet even this is not the final firmware.
Apples does the same thing. They’ve released several updates to their firmware after their launch.
