We almost forgot about this iPhone Killer from Garmin but apparently they have been making progress. It has finally passed through the FCC for US lanuch. However, no word on whether they were able to secure any carrier deals and how much it will sell for. With the carrier deal, like BB Storm, Apple iPhone, etc. the carriers subsidize the phone to be more affordable like $199 range. However, without the carrier deal the customer has to pay full price for the phone making the cost quite high, e.g. Sony Ericsson Experia for over $500.
