Unexpectedly, HTC announced a new variant of the Touch Dual, bound for the U.S. It keeps the same design and features as the original one, but is now quad-band GSM with 850/1900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA support. As it can be expected from a newly announced phone, the new Dual runs on WM 6.1 and as every other phone of the Touch family comes with TouchFlo. Unlike the European variant, it seems that the Touch Dual US will have only one version of the keypad: 20-key SureType-like one.
HTC claims that the new Dual will debut this quarter. We can only hope AT&T will offer it, as this is not officially announced yet.
