Sometimes the features of the next generation Apple product can be predicted based on a different product launch. When Apple iPad 2 was launched earlier this year with Apple’s first dual-core processor A5, many predicted it would make its way into the iPhone 4S and Apple didn’t disappoint.

However, a brand new feature on iPhone 4 from last year, which was the retina display did not make it into iPad 2 when it was launched this year. Why? I think it has more to do with the production capability not being available to make retina display that big (9.7inch on iPad versus 3.5inch on iPhone).

Well, it now seems the companies have finally solved the production issue and there are supposedly 3 potential suppliers who can supply the retina display capable on the new iPad 3 with full QXGA, 2048×1536 resolution.

What other “new” features do you expect on the new iPad 3? Better camera? Faster processor? Siri?
