You all know LG is one of the major player in the handset market. (#3 in the world) And yet, their smartphone market share is tiny 1.2% last quarter. You can almost write many business books on why they weren’t able to keep up with Apple, RIM, Motorola, Samsung, and Nokia.
LG is not ready to give up yet. They have increased their R&D and Marketing budget to fight the smartphone fight with their new line of smartphones named “Optimus”. The phone pictured above is “Optimus One”, running Google Android OS just other everybody else. The only difference that’s more of inside is that they are going to be using Nvidia’s Tegra chipset versus the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon or Samsung Hummingbird.
