Well, this highly anticipated iPhone Killer from Sony Ericsson is finally available just in time for the Christmas. However, they were not able to secure any carrier to sell them so interested buyers can only order through their website for unsubsidized price of $800. Ouch.

The only good thing is it will be unlocked phone so you can take it to pretty much any GSM carrier (AT&T, T-Mobile) and use it and not be bound by 2 year contract.

While all other iPhone Killers are being priced around or below $200, selling a $800 phone in this economic times does not look like the smartest thing but let’s see how well they do.

What a match made in heaven and what a concept. Use your phone and the bluetooth connection to control your car? Well, it’s not too far fetched as you can do that with Xperia X1 and Saab. (Sorry, no other cars at this moment). Sony Ericsson has released SDK to the developers for their iPhone Killer, Xperia X1. The big news this week was the possible delay of the launch but the company came out to defend its release this year. As everyone knows, the OS is based on the Windows Mobile 6.1. It will be interesting to see how many third party developers will make applications for this phone.

We shall see if they can make this phone available in next couple of months….

It looks like the first iPhone Killer from Sony Ericsson isn’t going to be availble this year as previously announced. The rumor is that the Windows Mobile 6.1 is the cause of the delay but who know?

Let’s hope they are not too late as many other iPhone Killers have surpassed the iPhone with innovative features and I don’t quite remember Xperia X1 having really killer feature that everyone is waiting for.
