LG Renoir Launched

It seems that with so much competition for the iPhone Killers, these companies don’t mess around and are quick to launch their new product without much anticipation.

According to the offical LG Press Release, “After making its initial debut in Europe in October of this year, Renoir will come out in Asia, Latin America and CIS in November, the Middle East and Africa in December and China in January of 2009. The 13.95 mm Renoir will be available in titan black and other color options depending on operator.”

Most Powerful iPhone Killer - LG KC910

From the outside appearance, this looks just like another iPhone clone with all touchscreen. Once you get to know this apparent LG Viewty successor, you’ll agree that this is the most powerful iPhone Killer to date.

While Apple does a great job of introducing great products over the years, they are somewhat limited by how many new innovative products they can introduce. They gave the world a taste of what a phone would like look if Apple made them, by introducing the iPhone last year. Then, they followed up with iPhone 3G this year by adding few minor features such as 3G high speed data and GPS.

How does LG counter this? They continue to introduce new product after new product with more features that’s not found on iPhone.

So what are the new and neat features of this phone?

- First of all, this is the slimmest 8Mpixel digital camera. That’s right 8!

- Let’s stay with the camera features for now. Xenon Flash.

- Schneider-Kreuznach lens

- ISO up to 1600

- Option for Manual Focus

- Face, Smile, and Blink detection

- Photo Geo tagging

- Should we move on to Videos? VGA capture at 30fps and QVGA at 120fps.

- Dolby Sound

- Divx and Xvid Support

Other Basic Stuff:

- 3 inch WQVGA 240 x 400 Touch Screen

- WiFi

- Quad Band GSM with HSDPA support at 7.2Mbps

- External memory support up to 8GB

- TV-out

The bar has been raised very far for the next iPhone, whenever and whatever that may be.
