HTC has announced today at CTIA that they will be launching HTC View 4G, which is world’s first WiMAX Android Tablet.

The display size is same as Samsung Galaxy Tab with 7inch screen with 1024×600 resolution. It packs 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor (single, not dual core), 5Mpixel rear camera and 1.3Mpixel front-facing camera. Another unique feature of this tablet is its support of HTC Scribe, a smart pen interface.

Initially, it will ship with Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) but can be upgraded to OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) when ready.

HTC View 4G joins already crowded tablet market with lots of competition. RIM has also announced WiMAX version of their PlayBook. Also, Samsung is coming up with several larger tablets to build on top of their success of Galaxy Tab’s 7inch screen.
